About the Flintridge La Cañada Guild!
The Flintridge La Cañada Guild provides aid and support to the Huntington Memorial Hospital of Pasadena. Through its largest fundraiser, the Annual Children's Horseshow held at the Flintridge Riding Club each Spring, the Guild raises funds to purchase needed equipment and facilities for the Hospital. With proceeds from the 2007 Annual Children's Horse Show, the Guild purchased an ECMO machine for use in the Neonatal Department of Huntington Memorial Hospital. ECMO is an acronym for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and is essentially a heart-lung machine for newborns. In 2008, the Guild committed to purchasing a fully equipped treatment room for the new Emergency Room facility under construction at Huntington Memorial Hospital. The Guild fulfilled its aggregate obligation for 2008 and 2009 by donating $250,000 for a treatment room in the hospital's Trauma Center currently under construction. For 2010 the Guild will give proceeds from the Horse Show to the Hospital's general fund for the Trauma Center construction.
In addition to raising funds, members of the Guild volunteer their time at the Hospital Gift Shop.

Meetings 2009 - 2010
Meetings are held the second Monday of each month at members homes. Social begins at 7:00pm and the meeting starts at 7:30pm. If you would like to attend a meeting, please contact any one of the Guild Officers.

Become a New Member of the Flintridge La Cañada Guild
The Guild is constantly looking for fresh faces eager to become members and volunteer their time. Members of the Guild volunteer their time at the Hospital Gift Shop in addition to raising money to purchase needed equipment for the Hospital. Funds are raised through the Annual Children's Horse Show held each Spring at the Flintridge Riding Club. Member's of the Guild must fulfill the following requirements:
- Attend 8 monthly meetings
- Take a TB test annually for volunteering in the hospital (new members must have two TB tests the first year)
- Volunteer hours at the Huntington Memorial Hospital Gift Shop (one 4 hour shift per month, on a Wednesday)
- Help out at the Children's Horse Show each year
- Attend one Annual Review Meeting
