The President's Message

Well here we are again beginning another Guild year and looking forward to all of it! We had a great turnout at our first meeting at Debbie Moloznik’s calm and serene house with a lively and energetic meeting. By the October Meeting we will have a new “Wish List” from HMH and will be able to decide on our new project going forward. And of course a way to celebrate all of our friendships and hard work for the Hospital will be at the Fall Party at Gail Jagel’s Home – don’t miss out! I really am impressed by our “small but mighty” group and look forward to all of our fun events coming up – see you there!

The 88th Annual Children's Horse Show: Treasurer's Reflection

Despite the tough economic times, the 2009 Children’s Horse Show was a big success. The numbers aren’t final yet, but I estimate that we made approximately $95,000 this year. On an even brighter note, we gave Huntington Memorial Hospital $90,000. That completes our $250,000 pledge towards the Emergency & Trauma Center Expansion. We had 3 years to do it, and we did it in 2. We’ll move on to a new pledge next year, and I’m sure the 2010 Children’s Horse Show will be just as successful as this year’s.
